We’re Young Innovators Pathways (YIP) — a student-led nonprofit founded by the FTC Team QuantaMania 27090.
Our mission is to make STEM learning accessible, engaging, and inclusive for kids of all backgrounds.
Through robotics workshops, mentorship, and outreach, we help young innovators find their pathway into technology and engineering.

ABOUT US

Who are we?

We are Young Innovators Pathways (YIP) — a student-led nonprofit founded by the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team QuantaMania 27090 in Mountain View, California.

We’re a team of passionate students who love exploring how technology can solve real-world problems. What started as building robots for competition has grown into a mission to make STEM fun, approachable, and inclusive for every kid.

Our members design, code, and build robots — but we also teach, mentor, and host workshops that help younger students discover their own potential. We believe that innovation starts with curiosity and that teamwork, creativity, and persistence are the foundations of every great idea.

Together, we’re building more than just robots — we’re building pathways for the next generation of thinkers, makers, and leaders.

Our Mission

Our mission at Young Innovators Pathways is to make STEM learning accessible, hands-on, and inspiring for all students -- especially those who might not otherwise have access to robotics or technology education.

Through robotics, mentorship, and community outreach, we empower young people to explore science and engineering with confidence and creativity.

We aim to bridge the gap between curiosity and opportunity by providing practical experiences that teach teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance.

Whether it’s designing a competition robot, mentoring a younger student, or hosting a STEM workshop, everything we do is centered around one goal: helping students discover their potential to create, lead, and innovate.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every student -- regardless of background, gender, or access to resources -- feels encouraged and equipped to pursue their curiosity in STEM.

We see the next generation of innovators as collaborative thinkers who use technology to make their communities better.

Our vision is to build a network of young leaders who aren’t afraid to experiment, fail, and try again—because innovation thrives when creativity meets determination.

Through Young Innovators Pathways, we hope to create a lasting culture of learning and inclusion that lights the spark for a lifetime of discovery.

OUR CORE VALUES:

INNOVATION
We embrace creativity and bold thinking in everything we do. Every challenge -- from building a robot to solving a technical problem -- is an opportunity to explore new ideas, experiment, and create solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible. Innovation drives us to think differently and continuously improve.

Programs

Robotics Team (FTC QuantaMania 27090):

We design, build, and program competition-ready robots for the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). Through this, we gain technical and leadership experience while mentoring younger students interested in robotics.

STEM Workshops:

We run introductory robotics and coding workshops for elementary and middle school students. Our hands-on activities help participants understand the basics of engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Mentorship & Outreach:

Our members volunteer to mentor local FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge teams, guiding younger students in design, coding, and strategy. We also collaborate with local schools and community centers to host STEM days, robot demos, and hands-on learning events.
